How SoloPredict Makes a Prediction — The Short Version
- Form analysis — last 5 to 6 games per team, split into home and away records, judging performance rather than just results.
- Head-to-head records — how these two specific sides have matched up historically.
- Goals data — scoring and conceding patterns that drive the over/under and BTTS markets.
- Team news and context — injuries, suspensions, and whether the fixture actually matters to both sides.
- Market selection and odds check — choosing the market where the edge is clearest, then confirming the price justifies the bet.
Most prediction sites give you tips without explanation. You see a selection, you don't know why it was picked, and when it loses you have no way to evaluate whether the process was sound or just lucky. SoloPredict works differently. This page explains exactly what goes into every tip we publish.
Step 1: Form Analysis
The starting point for every prediction is recent form. We look at the last 5 to 6 games for each team in a fixture, assessing both results and performance. A team that has won three games but conceded in each of them is in a very different position to a team that has won three games with clean sheets. The numbers behind a result tell a different story than the result itself.
We split form into home and away records because those two contexts produce wildly different results for most clubs. A team that wins 70% of their home games but only 25% away is not a consistent performer — they're a strong home side who struggles on the road. Context matters enormously.
Step 2: Head-to-Head Records
Some fixture pairs have a consistent pattern that defies current form. Certain clubs repeatedly produce low-scoring draws regardless of where they sit in the table. Others consistently produce high-goal games due to attacking styles that match up poorly against each other. We always check the last 5 to 10 meetings between two sides before finalising a prediction.
Step 3: Goals Data
For goals markets — over 2.5, BTTS, under 2.5, and combined bets — we look at average goals per game for both teams, not just overall but split by home and away. We check what percentage of their recent games stayed under or went over each goals threshold. This data forms the backbone of our over 2.5 predictions, under 2.5 tips, and BTTS daily tips.
Step 4: Team News and Context
Statistics can only take you so far. A team missing its first-choice striker and goalkeeper simultaneously is not the same team that compiled those stats. Injury reports, suspension lists, and fixture congestion all factor into our final assessment. We also look at motivation — a team safe from relegation and eliminated from cups has different incentives to a side fighting for a top-four finish.
Step 5: Market Selection and Odds Check
Once we've identified what we expect to happen in a match, we select the market that best captures that expectation. We check the odds are reasonable — we don't publish tips at odds of 1.10 that barely reward the risk. Every published tip needs to represent genuine value.
